Program Director
Mr. Cronin began his career his career as a History and English teacher before his passion for music technology led him to build the AMP Academy. Driven by the goal of providing students with the professional opportunities he wished he had in high school, he secured the grants necessary to build Florin's state-of-the-art facility.
Intro to AMP
Kevin Jacobson is a dedicated educator and music professional who teaches Intro to AMP in the Florin AMP Academy. With a background that bridges the gap between public health and the arts, Kevin brings a unique, multidisciplinary perspective to the classroom. He holds a Master’s in Public Health from CSU Sacramento and has furthered his technical expertise through specialized studies in music production and songwriting at Berklee Online. As a musician and producer, Kevin is deeply immersed in the world of sound. Whether he is playing bass guitar, exploring the depths of Ableton Live, or mentoring students on beat-making and DJing, his goal is to empower the next generation of creators with the tools they need to find their voice. His professional philosophy is rooted in the belief that technical skill and creative expression are essential components of a modern education. When he isn’t in the studio or the classroom, Kevin is likely outdoors. He is the head coach for Florin’s Cross Country and Track & Field teams, an avid cyclist, and a fan of endurance running.
"Sometimes, the best you can hope for is that you took something from it... Anything... Anything at all. Even if its just taking the time to lie in the grass and think about all the things you still have left to do."
English
Aimie McGoldrick teaches English 10 and 11 in the AMP academy. She has always had a passion for film and literature. One of her teaching highlights has been witnessing her academy students bring literature to life through cross curricular projects. When she is not in the classroom you can find her trying new local restaurants or exploring the nearest farmers market.

Administator
Before becoming an administrator, Kristen spent 20 years in the classroom as a science teacher; some of those years helping to develop and coordinate the Biotech Academy at another EGUSD high school. For her, one of the best things about becoming a Panther is the return to her Career Technical Education roots through supporting the students and staff of all nine CTE academy and pathway programs at Florin, including the AMP Academy. She is passionate about removing barriers to success and her goal is simple: do whatever she can to ensure every student and every staff member has what they need to pursue their wildest dreams.
Counseling
Sheri started her career in education as EGUSD’s Refugee Coordinator. She designed and implemented a comprehensive Newcomer Support Program, assisting students and families who are making the challenging transition to United States and our education system. For the past 4 years, she has had the honor of being a high school counselor at Florin High School where she thoroughly enjoys spending her day providing academic, college/career, and social emotional support for students. She is proud to be the designated AMP Academy counselor, supporting a dynamic team of professionals and an inspiring group of talented and dedicated students.
